I chose to study abroad in Chile because I wanted to improve my Spanish, as it is my native tongue but I have not used it much since living in the United States. I think it is vital for global business majors to study abroad because it helps them gain perspective. Learning about and experiencing other cultures broadens one's horizons, which allows them to better connect with people from other cultures and effectively conduct business with them. My study abroad experience gave me perspective that I will carry with me for the rest of my life, as well as an appetite for travel and knowledge of different cultures around the world.
